Legacy Wood Studio is one person, a shop in Idaho, and a loft full of wood that is not ready yet.
Most of the timber here comes down within an hour of the bench — a storm, a build site, a neighbour clearing a fence line. It gets milled, stickered and stacked, and then nothing happens to it for three or four years. That waiting is most of the work.
What gets built out of it is furniture meant to be handed down rather than replaced. Everything is measured rather than estimated, joined rather than fastened, and finished so it can be repaired instead of thrown away.
